FAQ

Common questions

What does WEDDINGBOOK do for venues?

WEDDINGBOOK works with wedding and event venues from initial planning through to launch, covering positioning, branding, space, product, guest experience and launch planning. Engagements can cover a specific area or the full venue development journey.

Which type of engagement is right for my venue?

  • Visual Merchandising: For operating venues that need to refresh their imagery, styling or content.
  • Venue Development / Transformation: For venues that need repositioning, want to attract a new guest segment or are being developed from the ground up.

Not sure which approach fits your project? Share the details and WEDDINGBOOK will help assess the most suitable direction.

What types of venues does WEDDINGBOOK work with?

WEDDINGBOOK works with hotels, resorts, wedding and conference centres, event halls, standalone buildings and new developments on undeveloped sites. Projects may be already operating, undergoing repositioning or at an early stage of development.

Can WEDDINGBOOK help if I don’t have a site yet?

Yes. WEDDINGBOOK can get involved in site identification, assessment and discussions with property owners. The Chapel at Saigon followed this approach, taking 18 months from site search to opening.

Can I engage WEDDINGBOOK for just one part of a project?

Yes. The scope is tailored to each venue’s objectives and requirements. For hotels and partner venues, WEDDINGBOOK has delivered imagery and content for individual ceremonies. For The Chapel at Saigon, the engagement covered all seven areas, from positioning and site search through to launch and operational advisory.

What if I already have an architect or contractor?

WEDDINGBOOK can lead positioning and concept development while working alongside your existing architectural, design and construction partners on the relevant stages of the project.

Does WEDDINGBOOK operate venues on behalf of their owners?

WEDDINGBOOK provides advisory support and works alongside the project team through to launch. Any support beyond launch is agreed separately, based on the scope and working arrangement established by both parties.

How is WEDDINGBOOK different from a design firm or agency?

WEDDINGBOOK approaches venues from a business perspective, connecting the space with its commercial objectives. Every concept starts with the target guests, operating model and business potential of the venue.

Our capabilities bring together customer insight, hospitality experience and commercial thinking, supported by a network of nearly 100 hotels, venues and brands. WEDDINGBOOK grew out of a wedding platform in Korea, bringing over 12 years of industry experience, and has been present in Vietnam since 2019.

Where has WEDDINGBOOK delivered projects?

WEDDINGBOOK has delivered projects in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Phu Quoc, with a partner network spanning Vietnam, Korea and Japan. Explore our work on the Projects page.

How are fees determined?

Fees depend on the venue’s current condition, project objectives and scope of work. Following an initial discussion and site assessment, WEDDINGBOOK and the client agree on the objectives, scope and budget before work begins.

All initial discussions, including the first meeting, are free of charge. Service fees apply only once work begins under the agreed arrangement.

How long does a project take?

Project timelines depend on the scope of work, the venue’s current condition and the complexity of the project. Visual refresh projects can take around one month, while comprehensive venue development or transformation projects may take several months to over a year.

How do I get started?

Share your project details through the contact form or email venue@weddingbook.com. The process then follows four steps:

  1. Discuss the project objectives and direction.
  2. Assess the existing venue or potential site.
  3. Develop 2–3 feasible proposals.
  4. Agree on the scope of work.

To make the initial discussion more productive, it helps to have three things in mind: your project objectives, target guest segment and the venue’s current operating model. If some details are still being defined, we can start with what is already known.
